Fishign charter client holding Spanish Mackerel caught while trolling near Ocean Isle Beach NC with Salty Dawg Fishing Charters

My Nearshore Fishing Charters run year-round out of Ocean Isle Beach NC, offering exciting opportunities to target Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, Cobia, Bull Red Drum, Flounder, Black Sea Bass, Barracuda, Bluefish and more. These trips are perfect for anglers looking to fish our waters just off the coast of Ocean Isle Beach, Holden Beach, Sunset Beach, and Little River, SC.

I offer 4 hour and 6-hour nearshore charters, each taking you to different reefs, ledges, and shipwrecks. My 4-hour trips stay within 5 miles of shore, while the 6-hour trips reach 10+ miles out. If you're looking to go even farther, contact Captain Harvey directly about a custom offshore adventure.

My nearshore charters head out at 6:30 AM from Ocean Isle Beach, NC, though in the winter, we may start a bit later depending on the weather.

We bottom fish year-round on reefs, ledges, and wrecks. From April through November, trolling for King Mackerel brings explosive, drag-screaming bites. Spanish Mackerel and Cobia show up in late spring, and casting or freelining baits for Cobia is one of the most exciting ways to fish! In the winter, our closest nearshore artificial reefs, just 3 miles out, are chock full of Sea Bass that can be caught with bait or by vertical jigging.

My nearshore fishing charters give you access to some of the best fishing spots along the North Carolina and South Carolina coast. Whether you're a seasoned angler or are new to nearshore fishing, these trips deliver fun, fast-paced action, and a great opportunity to hook up with a trophy fish.
