Captain Harvey's charter fishing vessel, the "Salty Dawg" (pictured here) is well-suited for inshore and nearshore fishing in coastal NC. The hull design of this late-model 22'10" Sea Hunt Bay Boat provides a very comfortable ride and will keep you dry even during choppy conditions. The Salty Dog is powered by a 200 HP Yamaha outboard engine with a max speed of 45 MPH. The Salty Dawg can comfortably carry 4 anglers on fishing charters or 4 passengers on our Sunset Cruises and Salt Marsh Eco Tours. The Salty Dawg also features a Simrad GPS / Fishfinder, GPS Controlled Trolling Motor with Anchor Lock, 2 Livewells, a downrigger, a Power Pole, 75 quart Yeti Cooler, Fish Box, VHF radio with AIS, EPIRB, First Aid & all USCG required Safety Equipment, a private head (restroom) inside the console, and very comfortable seating. The Salty Dawg is very clean and meticulously maintained.
The Salty Dawg passed its 2024 USCG vessel safety inspection, so rest assured you'll be fishing or cruising on a very safe vessel.
The Salty Dawg also has all appropriate licenses and permits from the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission, the North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries, and NOAA.
Additionally, anyone fishing aboard the Salty Dawg in coastal NC does not need a fishing license, as the vessel has a license to cover all anglers onboard.
